From a body-recomposition standpoint, the lower overall training volume can also be attractive.
If your goal is to lose fat while maintaining or building muscle, you may not want to spend every day doing long, exhausting cardio sessions.
Sometimes more is not better.

This part still matters.
You cannot sprint your way around poor nutrition, inadequate protein, lack of strength training, poor sleep, or inconsistent habits.

Sprint training can be an excellent tool.

Here is the good news.
When we talk about sprint training, we are really talking about the intensity of the effort, not necessarily the exercise itself.
You can perform sprint-style intervals on a stationary bike, air bike, rowing machine, hill, sled, swimming pool, or other exercise that allows you to safely create short bursts of high effort.
So if running is not your thing, you are still invited.
No treadmill commitment required.
